About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Executive to drive new customer acquisition and expand our footprint within the electronic payments and billing software space. This role is responsible for building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record in SaaS, electronic payment or billing software sales, ideally with exposure to local government, utilities, or tax-related verticals.

Duties

  • Drive new business development through prospecting, networking, referrals, web leads, and industry events.

  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and consultative solutions to prospective clients.

  • Cultivate and expand relationships with existing partners to generate referrals and drive growth opportunities.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and reporting in HubSpot (or similar CRM).

  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to position solutions effectively.

  • Travel up to 50% to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and participate in partner events.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of proven closing experience in SaaS, electronic payments or billing software experience

  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with a consultative, customer-first approach.

  • Experience in selling into local government, utilities, or county tax markets preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding quotas with measurable success.

  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.

  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation, curiosity, and drive for success.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute long-term electronic payments strategies
